As always, what goes around comes around. Though considered a mid-century modernity of the past, cane is here to stay because of its durability and also the millenial's continual zest for an eco-conscious lifestyle. 

Just the sight of cane sends one on a nostalgia trip; warm and fond memories of our grandfathers relaxing on a rattan desk, possibly the very desk some dads got their loudest smacks with!
